Trades marketing agencies in London: who serves the area
London is the most competitive local search market in the country, and the agencies that serve it range from a Tooting local SEO shop to a Great Portland Street growth consultancy. Two of the five below are physically in the capital, one is in London but roofing-only, and two serve it from outside. Here is how they differ.
Based in London or serving London?
For a trades business the distinction matters less than you might think. Almost everything an agency does for you happens online, and a Google Business Profile for a Lewisham electrician can be optimised just as well from Newcastle as from Clapham. What a London base does buy you is familiarity with how borough and postcode searches behave, and the option of meeting in person.
Of the five agencies here, Roofing SEO Services, Leads 4 Local and Scale Through Us give London addresses. Riley Marketing is based in the North East and works UK-wide. Grow My Trade describes itself as nationwide with no travel fees. We have been explicit about that in each entry.
The other thing London changes is cost. Competition for 'emergency plumber' or 'roofer near me' across inner London boroughs is fierce, and agencies that price by competition level, as Roofing SEO Services does, will quote at the upper end.
1. Roofing SEO Services (SEO Consultancy Ltd)
Best for: London roofers who want a single-trade SEO specialist with published prices and town exclusivity
Based in East Ham and founded in 2012 by Dr M Mansoor Siddique, Roofing SEO Services works only with roofers and roofing contractors covering slate, tile, flat roofs, chimneys, fascias and guttering. The service covers Google Business Profile and map pack work, local SEO with postcode and town pages, citation building, UK link building, technical SEO, review management and call and form lead tracking. Roofing website design is sold separately.
The contract terms are among the clearest in the sector. One roofer per town is written into the agreement, reporting is on booked jobs rather than traffic, the team is UK-based with no subcontracting, and the arrangement is rolling monthly on 30 days' notice with the client keeping all assets. Monthly packages are published from £499 up to £2,599 depending on local competition, with no setup fee.
Case studies are anonymised and focus on map pack and keyword ranking improvements for roofing firms.
2. Riley Marketing
Best for: Smaller London trades firms that need a website, Google profile, review flow and quote system on one fixed fee
Riley Marketing is based in the North East and serves London alongside the rest of the UK. Its offer is a foundational growth system for £149 a month at the time of writing: an SEO-focused website with service and location pages, Google Business Profile optimisation, Google review automation including reactivation of past customers, missed call text back, and a CRM with lead status tracking and branded quote pages on the trade's own domain.
For a London sole trader the location pages are the useful part. A plumber covering Greenwich, Lewisham and Bexley needs a page for each, and the system is built with that structure from the start. The build happens before the client pays, revisions are unlimited, there is no setup fee and the client can cancel at any time.
Founder Tom Riley has ten years in search and lead generation, previously led organic growth at an insurtech, and has built and run his own lead generation sites. Clients deal with him directly. Published builds include Anglia Decor, an industrial painting and roofing contractor, and SET Building & Brickwork, an Essex building firm. Google Ads, Meta ads and local SEO are available as add-ons.
3. Leads 4 Local
Best for: South and South West London tradespeople who want a priced local SEO retainer
Leads 4 Local is based in Tooting and focuses on South and South West London. It says it specialises exclusively in local SEO for trades and service businesses and aims for top-three Google Maps positions within months. Services include local SEO, Google Maps SEO, website design, SEO audits, reputation management, PPC, citation building and schema.
Pricing is published in three monthly tiers at £349, £599 and £999, which is rare for a local SEO agency. Named trades include roofers, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, cleaners and junk removal, though the client list also includes dentists, estate agents and restaurants, so it is not a trades-only business. No case studies are published.
4. Scale Through Us
Best for: Trades wanting a fully managed paid-ads-plus-automation department with capped local competition
Scale Through Us operates from Great Portland Street in London and works UK-wide. It sells a fully managed growth department for trade businesses, covering Facebook, Instagram and Google ads, web design and optimisation, SMS marketing, reputation management, email marketing, SEO, CRM integration and automation, and growth consultancy. It caps itself at three businesses per niche per location under a 'secure your territory' message.
Named sectors include roofing, electrical, plumbing, solar, driveways and paving, construction, HVAC, damp proofing, renovations and bathroom fitting. There are no detailed case studies on the site, only three short testimonials from electrical, roofing and driveway clients, and no pricing is published.
5. Grow My Trade
Best for: Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom showrooms in London wanting content-led Meta ads and follow-up
Grow My Trade is a nationwide agency founded by Harry (surname not stated), built exclusively for kitchen, bedroom and bathroom showrooms, with no travel fees for London or anywhere else. Its 90-day showroom growth system bundles photography and videography, testimonials and case studies, social media management, Meta advertising, CRM and automated follow-ups, lead qualification and monthly performance reviews. Clients own all photo and video assets and the aim is to be live within 21 days.
Public proof is one video client win for a kitchen showroom and Google reviews from kitchen retailers. Pricing is not published.

Choosing between them
Roofers have an obvious specialist in Roofing SEO Services and should start there, checking whether their town is taken. Showrooms have Grow My Trade. Everyone else is choosing between a foundation and a lead engine.
If your website is old, your Google profile is unclaimed or half finished and your reviews have stalled, Riley Marketing's fixed fee covers all of that without a contract. Leads 4 Local is the alternative for South London firms who already have a site and want map pack work priced in tiers.
Scale Through Us is the only one here selling a full paid-ads department, which suits a firm already turning over enough to fund ad spend on top of a fee. Before that conversation, read how to read an agency proposal and the guide to marketing budget rules of thumb for trades. Frequently asked questions
Does a trades marketing agency need to be in London to work for a London business?
No. Google Business Profile optimisation, local pages, review automation and ads are all delivered remotely. A London base helps with in-person meetings and local knowledge, but two of the five agencies here serve London from elsewhere.
Why is local SEO more expensive in London?
More businesses compete for the same searches, so ranking in the map pack takes more work. Agencies that price by competition level, such as Roofing SEO Services, quote higher in dense boroughs.
What is the cheapest credible option for a London sole trader?
Of the five here, Riley Marketing at £149 a month is the lowest published price for a complete system covering website, Google profile, reviews and CRM. Leads 4 Local's £349 tier is the lowest published price for a local SEO retainer.
Should I worry about exclusivity?
If you are paying for local visibility, yes. Roofing SEO Services writes one roofer per town into its agreement and Scale Through Us caps three businesses per niche per location. Ask any agency how many of your direct competitors it already works with.
